Overview

Keep a spare on hand!

The Neuton Mower's unique design lets you simply lift out the battery, drop in a freshly charged one, and start mowing again in seconds. Many mowers do not have removable batteries—you'd have to wait for hours to recharge an onboard battery before mowing again. Keep a spare battery – or two! – charged and ready for when you need it, and your lawn will be looking its best in no time!

The 36-Volt battery is for use exclusively with the Neuton CE6 Mower.

Having a spare batter is very useful. When the grass is very thick one battery is not enough. With all the rain we have been having the spare is needed.

Response from Neuton SupportThank you for providing feedback on the battery for your Neuton Lawn Mower. Here are some helpful tips on how to maximize the life of your battery. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any other questions or concerns. Tech Support can be reached at 800-376-9637. We appreciate your business and thank you for choosing Neuton Power. Under normal conditions, the battery charge should last for approximately forty-five (45) to sixty (60) minutes per use with a fully charged battery. The length of time depends on the length, density, and dampness of the grass, cutting height setting, current battery charge level, and ongoing battery care/charging. If the battery does not provide a forty-five (45) minute run time, it does not mean that your battery is defective. If you generally intend to use your Mower for a longer duration, Neuton Power Equipment recommends that you purchase an extra battery. Whereby, you could have a second fully charged battery ready so you can continue mowing. You should charge the battery for before you use it for the first time. If you do not charge it before that first time use, the charging capacity could decrease. Once you use the battery, regardless of the level of depletion, you must recharge the Battery completely, immediately after use. It may take up to five (5) charging and discharging cycles before your battery provides maximum life. A battery may last much longer if you charge it as soon as it noticeably starts to lose power. Do not force the battery to discharge to the extent that the machine will no longer operate. You should never try to coax a little more power out of your battery. Recharge the battery as soon as possible after each use & according to your charger’s specific instructions. If by chance you no longer have the instructions, please feel free to contact us at 800-376-9637 and someone from our Tech Support Department would be happy to send them to you. And lastly, you should always bring your battery in when the temperatures dip to freezing or below and store in a warm dry location.

I have had my first Neuton 36-VOLT Battery since I purchased the mower 8 years ago...and it still holds a one hour charge to mow my entire front and back lawns ! I purchased another battery from Neuton 3 years ago and it has lost its charge...but was NOT the Neuton Battery ( The company might want to list here what itwas ). This new battery sounds louder and more powerful than my 8 year old battery...and both the 8 year old and the new battery work great ! . Dick Chamberlain

Two Dead Batteries After Only Two Seasons
Posted by: Richard S P. from Erie, PA on 05/29/2015

i bought an extra battery when I bought the mower.I would alternate the batteries each time I mowed. I followed all the care instructions to the letter. I have a small yard so one battery more than gets the job done. Due to an injury my neighbor will use his gas mower on my yard once in awhile. I don't even use it every week. It seems strange that both batteries died after only two seasons of light use.I love the mower but the batteries are very disappointing.

Product Q&A
Ask a Question for This Product
Sort By:
Q.How long does the battery last?
A.The Neuton Battery is completely maintenance free. You never need to add water. However, as with all rechargeable Batteries, after years of use they will eventually need replacement. With proper care, the Battery should last three to five years.

Under typical mowing conditions, the Battery charge should last for approximately forty-five to sixty minutes per use but this may diminish over time. The length of time depends on the length, density, and dampness of the grass as well as battery charging time and mowing height.

Thanks for your interest and question. pah

Q.How long should I charge this battery to ensure a full charge?
A.Thank you for contacting us.

When you first charge the Battery, it can take up to 20 - 30 hours for the battery to come to a full charge. Then it will take 8 - 12 hours to become fully charged after use. In the off season, store the Battery in a DRY environment with temperatures between +5ºF (-15ºC) and +104ºF (+40ºC) unplugged from the Charger and separate from the Mower. Every one (1) to two (2) months thereafter and just prior to the first mowing of the season, you should completely charge the Battery again for optimal performance and life.
